What it solves & why businesses use it

Many potential customers hesitate before booking — especially for hotels, tours, restaurants, or attractions they’ve never experienced. TripAdvisor reviews widget showcases customer reviews from TripAdvisor, one of the most trusted sources for travel-related feedback, helping solve key trust and conversion issues:

  • Builds instant credibility by showing real, verified reviews from TripAdvisor.

  • Reduces booking anxiety by highlighting positive guest experiences.

  • Reinforces brand quality with third-party validation people already trust.

  • Shortens the decision-making process — especially for first-time visitors.

Businesses that actively display customer feedback are often seen as more reliable. TripAdvisor reviews widget works particularly well for businesses where reviews influence the buying decision: hotels, resorts, guided tours, museums, restaurants, and other experiences.

When & how to use it

This widget is most effective when shown to new visitors, travelers comparing options, or users coming from search or social campaigns. Use it on high-intent pages like accommodation listings, booking or reservation pages, or dedicated product or service landing pages. It’s especially useful during decision stages — right after pricing, photos, or amenities.

How it looks

The most common format is a built-in slider showing real TripAdvisor reviews. Typically it includes:

  • Star rating and short review snippet.

  • Reviewer name.

  • Optional: CTA button to show more reviews.

  • Smooth carousel.

It’s designed to feel familiar, reliable, and easy to scan — so visitors can get a quick sense of quality without clicking away to TripAdvisor.

Pairs well with

TripAdvisor review widget works great alongside early booking discount offers, or ‘Get a quote’ forms. Use it right before asking users to commit — the social proof gives them that extra push to move forward.

How to set it up

Let’s build a testimonials widget — quick and easy, but with a polished result that gives your social proof the spotlight it deserves.

Step 1: Pick a template

Claspo has 1000+ ready-made templates designed for different purposes. Just pick one built for showcasing testimonials. The layout, font sizes, and button placement are already optimized to keep things clean and engaging. All you need to do is add your content and give it your brand’s touch.

Step 2: Customize it

A good testimonials widget should feel like it belongs on your site. Click on any element to bring up its settings on the right — adjust colors, fonts, backgrounds, and CTA button styles so everything fits your branding. For example, to change the background, click the widget and either choose a color or upload an image.

To update the reviewer photo just click the image and upload your own (PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF). Prefer sharp edges instead of rounded ones? You can toggle that too.

Our template includes multiple testimonials sliders. You can switch between them using the top navigation buttons. Need more slides? Click the ‘+’ to add a new one.

If you want to fine-tune the slideshow, click the widget, then select Set up slider. There, you can reorder slides, adjust the look of navigation buttons and indicators.

Also, you can change how fast the slides rotate — the default is every 5 seconds, but you can set it to whatever works best.

Want to link the widget to a product page or case study mentioned in the review? Just click the widget, go to General > Action on click > Add action > Open URL, and enter your link.

Step 3: Set up placement

Since this one’s an embedded widget, you’ll want to place it exactly where it makes sense — like under a product description, on a landing page, or in your homepage’s ‘proof’ section, etc. The editor walks you through it step by step. Just expand the ‘How to find a CSS selector’ section for guidance.

Once your spot is set, choose the display option, hit ‘Test widget’ to see it live (just for you), and when everything looks good — go ahead and publish it.
