What it solves & why businesses use it

Lead generation quizzes help businesses collect valuable data from their website visitors while engaging them in an interactive way. These quizzes solve the problem of low lead conversion rates by offering something in return for submitting their contact details, such as personalized recommendations, product suggestions, or valuable insights. Key benefits include:

  • Engaging users with an interactive quiz while collecting valuable information about their preferences or needs.

  • Incentivizing visitors to provide their contact details in exchange for personalized results or recommendations.

  • Segmenting leads effectively based on quiz responses, making future marketing and sales more targeted and effective.

When & how to use it

Lead generation quizzes are most effective when used to engage visitors and collect data that is directly relevant to your offerings. Key use cases include:

  • On first visit: Trigger a quiz offering personalized results with an incentive in exchange for the visitor’s email, helping them feel engaged right from the start.

  • Exit-intent: Use the quiz when visitors show intent to leave, offering them an interactive experience with an incentive that captures their contact details before they exit.

  • Product pages: Offer a product recommendation quiz to guide users toward the right products, capturing their email and offering a discount on the first purchase as part of the quiz completion process.

  • After content engagement: Present a quiz after users read an article or view content, offering them personalized advice or exclusive resources with an incentive in exchange for their contact information.

  • Seasonal promotions: Tie the quiz to seasonal offers, using it to personalize product recommendations and capture qualified leads during peak shopping seasons.

How it looks

Lead generation quizzes are typically designed to offer a personalized experience. Key elements include:

  • Qualification questions: The quiz usually contains a series of interactive, simple questions related to the user’s preferences, needs, or interests.

  • Progress indicators: Showing how many steps are left in the quiz can encourage users to continue.

  • Personalized results: The quiz results should offer personalized recommendations, such as product suggestions, custom reports, or helpful tips.

  • Email capture form: After completing the quiz, users are prompted to enter their email address to receive their results or claim their offer.

  • Incentive: The quiz can also provide an incentive at the end to improve conversion rates.

How to set it up

Let’s build a lead gen quiz that helps your visitors find their perfect match — just answer a few quick questions and they get a product tailored to their needs.

Step 1: Pick a template

The quickest way to get started? Use one of our multi-step form templates. They come with ready-made quiz setups, so you can jump right in without starting from scratch. Let’s choose one of them for this example.

Step 2: Customize it

To kick things off, customize the entry page. Add your own image or pick the perfect one from our built-in library. Style the close button so it’s easy to spot but not distracting. Add a catchy headline to welcome users and set the stage. To edit text, just click and type — easy as that. For other elements, like font size or image replacement, click on the item and adjust the settings in the panel on the right.

To edit the next pages of the widget, scroll down or select the desired page from the bottom panel.

To change the option text for radio buttons, click on the buttons and go to the General tab > Edit options.

On the email capture page, set the action for the CTA button. By default, it's set to ‘Submit form’, but you can also redirect users to a specific page. To do this, select the button in the widget, then go to General > Action on click > Open URL.

Step 3: Set up triggers

In the display conditions settings, you can keep the default rule to show the widget to visitors who have spent 20 seconds on the page — a universal indicator for identifying more engaged users. Additionally, you can enable the exit-intent trigger by toggling it on to catch those about to leave your site.

Step 4. Integrate with your marketing tools

With your lead quiz ready, make sure every response flows into your marketing tools. Claspo integrates smoothly with email platforms, CRMs, and analytics to automatically route leads to the right campaigns and segments.
